Tacoma Film Festival program schedule

The Tacoma Film Festival kicks off today at the Grand Cinema, 606 S. Fawcett Ave., with a 9 p.m. showing of the British crime feature “Johnny Was” and a Lebanese short, “Lesson Number 5.” The screenings will be preceded by a 7 p.m. reception.
More than 50 titles are on the menu for the festival’s inaugural weeklong run.

“Saturday Night Shorts” (82 min)

Breakup Bob (USA, Comedy, 14 min, Directed by Steven Bentley) For 50 bucks, a twelve-pack of beer and some smokes, Bob will break up with your insignificant other for you.

A strong performance and a great soundtrack.
